okay so i love giving characters specific head canons, espeshally animation head cannons (i did one for pjo i think) so to build off of that -

Arthur: Stop Motion, espeshally Claymation it relaxes him (i notice that most stop motion movies have a kinda calming feel to them, even if its a really high pase story)

Trillian: stuff like the mitchels vs the machines or spiderverse - stuff that pushes what you think you can do with animation

Zaphod: out of all the earthly animation styles, (thats what im going off of) i think he would like the bouncy 1920s / 30s stuff

Marvin: i think he'd like rotoscope animation :)

if they were on earth they would compromise and watch something like The Amazing World of Gumball or like a sonic movie idk

Everyone on the heart of gold, besides Ford, prefers animation to live action.

Cartoon network's interesting history with edutainment/preschool shows,

Remember how i mentioned how cn's history with edutainment shows might get its own post? well here's that post i mentioned!

Everyone knows bout cartoonito, if ur in america then it's a block on cartoon network thats been running on the channel since 2021, but if ur outside of america, then its a channel or a block thats been running since 2006! but did you know cartoon network has had past history with preschool shows before cartoonito?

in 1996, cartoon network made a small unnamed sunday morning preschool block containing 2 shows, big bag and small world, Big bag was created by nina elias-bamberger, and it was a collab between cn. the childrens television workshop, (later known as sesame workshop) and the jim henson company, it was cn's first ever live action show, predating re-animated, out of jimmy's head, and cn real! which aired in 2006 (re-animated) and 2007 (oojh) and it was taped at the disney mgm studios park (know known as disney's hollywood studios)

the show follows molly, and her muppet friends, the patchwork dog...creature chelli (preformed by joey mazzarino) and bag (a sentient female bag who speaks through noises instead of dialog, shes preformed by rickey boyd) who work and live in the big bag general store. working alongside them are 2 talking socks, lyle & argyle (preformed by boyd) who hang out in the store's sock bin, lyle liks to tell argyle knock-knock/"sock-sock" jokes to each other, and in the 1st season, various other humans showed up, lik waldo muckle, a inventor who usually brings a mundane device...only to reveal he found a new purpose for said device, (lik a umbrella being used as a carousel for plushies or a eggbeater being used to keep ice cream cool) the mail carrier josie, who brings in the "i did something nice today" vhs...which is wut the title says, kids explaing the nice things they did. dr furball, who brings a animal to show to every1, and exercise instructor trudy, who gets the cast and viewers to do som exercise, in season 2 most of the human cast (= molly) was removed

the main concept of the show was that it asked the viewers to have:

- a pair of socks,

- a cardboard tube

- a hat

- and 2 spoons,

which som of the segments featured each item.

the segments included:

Big bag beat: a music video which would play halfway into the show

Troubles the cat: Animated by ink tank studios in nyc, this short series follows the titular cat, (voiced by maria conchita alonso) who uses her "troublescope" to see the problems her human owner, marina and her friends have, it was the first original cartoon based on latino characters in america. The character designs were by santiago cohen.

Samuel & nina: samuel is the dog counterpart to charlie chaplin, alongside him is the squirrel nina, the 2 go on adventures, where samuel magically changes his hat into somthing that'll help him, it was created in australia.

Koki: Created in spain, koki follows the titular 4 year old chicken, the show follows her life while adapting to the new change of a younger sibling, (represented by a egg) its completely done in stop motion, akin to pingu.

Slim pig: Created between the usa, uk, canada, and ireland, the show follows well...a slim pig. slim is a pig that's completely flat. (lik flat stanley) who lives in a 3d world, (but its all 2d) slim is able to squeeze through farm gates, turn into a ball, etc, to help with any problem he faces.

Tobas totz & his lion: Created in germany, it centers around the friendship between former zookeeper tobias and the lion at the zoo, while tobias may had lost his job, he still cares for the animals, the 2 often solve mysteries, in 1999, a movie was created based on the series.

William's wish wellingtons: One day, a young boy william got a pair of red rain boots/wellingtons from a magic salesman, but those werent just any wellingtons....there were magic, as when he's wearing them, any wish he has gets granted. lik 1 time he wished 4 a dog...he got barksure. or 1 time he wanted to have a conker so he can play conkers with his class, so he wished for a unbreakable conker...and he got he wished for...but he soon realized it wasnt fair to be cheating, this show was created in the uk.

Ace & avery: This show follows a glasses wearing boy, ace, and his green raccoon friend avery, they do silly stuff. this only showed up in the 2st season, this short series was created by john r dilworth. he also made... courage the cowardly dog. yee, the guy behind courage made this short series.

one of the episodes featured elmo from sesame street appearing, revealing him and chelli are pen pals.

in the 2st season of big bag, a new muppet was introduced, sofie, and the show was cut from its 1 hour length to a half hour program, but both still had no commericals.

the show did pretty good, as it got vhs tapes and a few books, heres a pic i found of a troubles the cat little golden book.

there was even a plush of chelli released made by tyco! Big bag managed to get a few co-productions, lik in the uk, and 1 in france called les astuces de sacatruc, which aired on tiji, there were also a few dubs, like in portugese,

the show has become lost media with a few episodes uploaded from utube, and segments sourced from the vhs tapes released,

Small world, like big bag, featured cartoons from around the world, like the 90s mr men and little miss cartoon series, old bear stories, the uniquely animated show soupé opera, and the dick bruna tales series. one of the most well known shows small world aired is pingu.

The 2000's are where cn had the most preschool shows, in 2002, baby looney tunes premiered, which was warner bros animation's first preschool show, it follows...well. baby versions of the looney tunes cast, and their lives while being taken care of by emma webster/granny.

Internationally cn had various preschool blocks, in australia, india, scandinavia, and south korea, there was tiny tv, which also was on boomerang, which aired shows such as the adventures of bottle top bill (and his best friend corky.) dragon tales, little red tractor, guess with jess, the secret world of benjamin bear, etc.

and in japan there was pipora pepora, which aired pinky dinky doo, frannys feet, meg & mog, bruno and the banana bunch, and maisy. lik big bag, pipora pepora is lost media,

In 2005. cn america made the block tickle-u. the host's of the block were pipoca, a red butterfly-esc creature (voiced by ariel winter) and her friend, a rabbit-esc creature named henderson, (voiced by tom kenny) the block aired harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs, peppa pig, gerald mcboing-boing, (based on the dr seuss story) little robots, gordon the garden gnome, firehouse tales, and yoko jakamoko toto! and while it wasnt in tickle-u, also in 2005 cn premiered krypto the super dog, which was aimed at preschoolers, peppa pig, gordon the garden gnome and little robots were all redubbed with american va's, the block's tagline was "the school of knock-knocks." the block came under controversity due to its tagline. as the block was supposed to "help kids develop a sense of humor" (but it didnt really.) and after a year, the block was closed (and fell into lost media).....but cn still had preschool content.

As in 2007, cn premiered ellens acres, (no, not to be confused with little ellen, that ellen has nothing to do with this ellen.)

the show was loosely based on the book ellen's 11-star spectacular super-deluxe hotel, written by larry schwarz, who also served as the creator, executive producer for the series, and the show follows ellen, (voiced by emily corrao,) a 5 year old girl who lives in the emerald acres hotel, which is located 39 miles outside tonopah nevada. ellen is very imaginative, as she often imagines the chores or stuff shes doing to be something adventurous, often saying "Actually..." to transition from her imagination to what she was actually doing, ellen often plays with a tire and a feather duster as toys, other than her parents who run the hotel, there's the handyman cooter and the maid connie, who often show up, theres also mateo. ellen's unseen bus driver who drops her off at the hotel at the start of every episode, the show had a few dvds released in australia,

And a ipad game for the show, (which is lost media) sadly, a good chunk of the show is lost media, as while the entire 1st season was up on youtube, the channel it was uploaded on, hmf animation randomly chose to private every single episode of the show other than the first episode dinosaur lore, (And nobody wanted to save them.....gah.)

and the entire 2st season is lost media as well, since it was left unaired, as the show was canceled on febuary 5 (a month and few days after the show premiered on january 8th!) with only a few title cards remaining, the flash games the show had on its website, ellensacres.com, are also lost media as well. the show, much like many of larry schwarz's shows, was animated by animation collective.

Lastly in 2008, the mr men show premiered on cn. based on the mr men and little miss book series, the show also premiered on channel 5's preschool block milkshake, in the uk. animated by renegade animation who also did hi hi puffy amiyumi for cn. (they also did a direct to dvd minimovie based on the elefun and friends line of board games by hasbro, elefun & friends: a tangled tale.) the show was styled lik a variety show, with comedy sketches, pantomimes, music videos and dance numbers.

Afterwards...cn did nothing with edutainment shows!...untill 2021. where you prob know the rest.

Fyi this ended up a bit angsty but oh well hope you like it.

The words on your arm scared you just a little bit. All of the scary stories that your grandmother had told you about the titans big giant monsters, with scary teeth and scary eyes, how they had killed countless people ripping humanity apart.

Taking a deep breath you look at the word on your arm TITANS You liked to play a game when you were bored, you would imagine how you would met them, what was on there arm, what did they look like, how old are they.

You were helping your mom with the dishes when there was a big BANG, people started screaming and shouting, your mother rushed to open the door and you could hear your dad stumbling from his room down the stairs. They stood there in shock not moving, to ved over to try and take a look on what was happening, none of this made sense. “What is it.” your voice asked they both turned to look at you and seemed to realise something. Dad lifted you up into his arms and grabbed mother’s hand and you started to run.

Everything was chaos. Everyone was running, screaming, men, woman, children. There was a little boy crouched under a table, a woman screaming at a half eaten body, two men trying to . Then over the wall, the big, tall, indestructible wall is a face, red and menacing. At its feet were titans, they were picking people up left and right chomping them in half like they were nothing.

Your were very mature for your age of 11 but you had never seen somthing like this. Your mind couldnt understand it, couldnt comprehend all of it the death and gore was to much and so when you dad grabed your sholders and started shaking you and screaming you couldnt hear him. You just stared his mosth going so fast it was like it was inslow motion. “Boats, i, go, mom, lost, boats”

And like that he ran, you looked around you were next to the water front there boats that people were floding on, looking over your sholder dad and mom were nowere to be seen, so you did the only thing possable, run to the boats.

There were more people hear than there were in the streets, pushing, shouting, shoving, everything smelled of blood and fear. “Were sorry there is no more room on the boat” “stop trying to bord the boat” “we can’t take anymore people” the soldiers stood blocking your way. They had locked arms, guns were out, and the boats were trying to pull away as fast as they could.

Behind you the Titans were getting closer blood all over there mouths and naked bodies. You were going to die if you stayed here, so with a deep breath you ran at the soldiers.

“STOP” one of them screamed trying to grab you and scratching your arm in the process, any slower and they would have got you. The gang planke was unstable and you nearly fell In the water.

Once you were sitting down your brain started to work, animal instincts disappearing everything set in. “What just….” you whispered “Titans” a blond boy sitting next to you said. “Titans happened”
